EMILY RUTH ALLEN

Emily Ruth Allen is a doctoral student in musicology at Florida State University (FSU). Her dissertation research focuses on nineteenth- and twentieth-century Carnival brass bands in Mobile, Alabama. In addition to being a musicologist, Allen is an active clarinet, crumhorn, and Renaissance recorder player, performing regularly throughout the Tallahassee area.
